Living in Southern California gave us plenty of opportunities to explore some of the state’s most iconic landmarks, and Griffith Observatory was always one of my favorite places to visit. Perched high above Los Angeles, it offers incredible views of the city, the surrounding mountains, and of course, the famous Hollywood Sign.
On this visit, we spent time walking around the observatory grounds and taking in the panoramic views. It was one of those rare places where you could appreciate both nature and city life at the same time. Looking out over Los Angeles, it was hard not to be amazed by just how far the city stretches in every direction.

The Hollywood Sign was another highlight of the day. Although we’ve seen it many times over the years, it never gets old. Seeing one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks up close is always a reminder of the unique character and history of Los Angeles.
Some of my favorite photos from the day were taken from the overlooks surrounding the observatory. Between the clear skies, rolling hills, and sweeping city views, there was no shortage of beautiful scenery to capture. It was a simple outing, but one that reminds me why Griffith Observatory remains one of Southern California’s most beloved destinations.
