Exploring Historic Durango

Durango was one of those places that surprised me. Before visiting, I expected a small mountain town, but downtown had far more character than I anticipated. Historic buildings stood alongside colorful murals and local businesses, creating a blend of old and new that gave the city its own distinct identity.

As we drove and walked through the area, I was drawn to the architecture. Some buildings reflected Durango’s early history, while others showcased a more modern and artistic side of the city. The variety made every corner feel a little different from the last.

The evening light brought out the colors of the buildings and painted the sky in soft shades of blue and gold. It was the kind of setting that made me reach for my camera, not because I was looking for the perfect shot, but because I wanted to remember the atmosphere of the place.
