These photographs were taken while I was experimenting with selective color editing, a technique that allows a single color to stand out while the rest of the image remains in black and white. What drew me to these scenes was the way the color naturally became the focal point of each photograph.
In the first image, the bright red shirt creates a striking contrast against the quiet waters and muted surroundings. In the second, the flowing orange dress stands out against the monochrome landscape, drawing the eye as the young girl walks along the water’s edge. Both images reminded me how a small splash of color can completely change the mood of a photograph and tell a different story.
These were some of my early creative experiments with photo editing, and looking back, they remind me of a time when I enjoyed exploring different ways to express a scene beyond what was captured by the camera alone.
